Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1982, Hungary's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.3% compared to 1981, reaching 65.7.

Hungary ranks 15th out of 17 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.6% (from 66.8 in 1977).
