In 2023, Hungary's net occupancy rate of bed-places and bedrooms in hotels and similar accommodation (NACE rev. 2, i, 55.1) (from 2012 onwards) increased by 5.3% compared to 2022, reaching 37.6.

Hungary accounts for 76.4% of the EU-27 total of 49.2.

Hungary ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.4% (from 41.5 in 2018).
