At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2006, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 6.1% compared to 2005, reaching 18.5%.

Ireland ranks 8th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.9% (from 21.0% in 2001).
