At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2005, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.7% compared to 2004, reaching 19.7%.

Ireland ranks 4th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.5% (from 20.0% in 2000).
