At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2008, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 9.9% compared to 2007, reaching 15.5%.

Ireland ranks 12th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.4% (from 20.5% in 2003).
