At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2009, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.2% compared to 2008, reaching 15.0%.

Ireland ranks 13th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 28.2% (from 20.9% in 2004).
