At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2018, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.5% compared to 2017, reaching 14.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Ireland ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.1% (from 15.7% in 2013).
