At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2009, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.4% compared to 2008, reaching 18.8%.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 17.5% (from 22.8% in 2004).
