At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 2009, reaching 18.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Ireland ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 17.8% (from 23.0% in 2005).
