At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2009, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 7.9% compared to 2008, reaching 15.1%.

Ireland ranks 18th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 34.1% (from 22.9% in 2004).
