At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2001, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.3% compared to 2000, reaching 20.0%.

Ireland ranks 2nd out of 19 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.1% (from 18.0% in 1996).
