Population structure indicators at national level

In 2001, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.6% compared to 2000, reaching 32.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 38.4.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.8% (from 31.1 in 1996).
