Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2022, Ireland's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group increased by 1.0% compared to 2021, reaching 70.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 69.1%.

Ireland ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.4% (from 69.5% in 2017).
