Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2002, Ireland's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 5.4% compared to 2001, reaching 25.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 18.8%.

Ireland ranks 7th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.5% (from 22.2% in 1997).
