In 2024, Ireland's at-risk-of poverty rate by most frequent activity status decreased by 3.6% compared to 2023, reaching 5.30.

Ireland accounts for 64.6% of the EU-27 total of 8.20.

Ireland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.5% (from 6.20 in 2019).
