At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2012, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.2% compared to 2011, reaching 26.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.0%.

Italy ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.5% (from 24.6% in 2007).
