At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.9% compared to 2015, reaching 21.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 18.2%.

Italy ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.4% (from 21.1% in 2011).
