At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2017, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.4% compared to 2016, reaching 21.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Italy ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.4% (from 20.8% in 2012).
