Employment rates by citizenship

In 2008, Italy's employment rates by citizenship increased by 1.3% compared to 2007, reaching 47.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 57.8%.

Italy ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.3% (from 42.8% in 2003).
