Population structure indicators at national level

In 2002, Italy's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.7% compared to 2001, reaching 30.2.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 26.3.

Italy ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.4% (from 27.6 in 1997).
