Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2021, Italy's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group decreased by 1.9% compared to 2020, reaching 73.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 69.8%.

Italy ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.9% (from 72.3% in 2016).
