Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2022, Italy's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group increased by 0.8% compared to 2021, reaching 74.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 69.1%.

Italy ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.6% (from 72.4% in 2017).
