Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2023, Italy's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group increased by 1.2% compared to 2022, reaching 75.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 69.1%.

Italy ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.9% (from 72.4% in 2018).
