In 2023, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty threshold increased by 6.6% compared to 2022, reaching 23,630.

Italy ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.8% (from 20,058 in 2018).
