In 2024, Italy's level of internet access increased by 1.7% compared to 2023, reaching 93.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 94.2%.

Italy ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.7% (from 85.2% in 2019).
