At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2017, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.1% compared to 2016, reaching 18.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.0%.

Latvia ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.6% (from 24.4% in 2012).
