Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1970, Latvia's population change increased by 4.3% compared to 1969, reaching 14.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.4.

Latvia ranks 20th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.8% (from 13.8 in 1965).
