In 2018, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 22.9% compared to 2017, reaching 54.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.7% (from 69 in 2013).
