In 2019, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 22.2% compared to 2018, reaching 42.

Latvia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 45.5% (from 77 in 2014).
