In 2020, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 31.0% compared to 2019, reaching 55.

Latvia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 32.1% (from 81 in 2015).
