In 2021, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 29.1% compared to 2020, reaching 39.

Latvia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 40.0% (from 65 in 2016).
