In 2022, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 5.1% compared to 2021, reaching 41.

Latvia ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 41.4% (from 70 in 2017).
