In 2023, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 7.3% compared to 2022, reaching 44.

Latvia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.5% (from 54 in 2018).
