In 2007, Latvia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 10.1% compared to 2006, reaching 904,870.

Latvia ranks 22nd out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 46.2% (from 619,100 in 2002).
