Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1989, Latvia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 1.9% compared to 1988, reaching 71,053.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.2% (from 62,789 in 1984).
