In 2023, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 14.0% compared to 2022, reaching 2,376.

Latvia ranks 21st out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 51.3% (from 4,877 in 2018).
