In 2021, Latvia's mean age of women at childbirth and at birth of first child increased by 0.7% compared to 2020, reaching 30.2.

Latvia accounts for 97.1% of the EU-27 total of 31.1.

Latvia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.0% (from 29.6 in 2016).
