Total researchers by sector of performance - head count

In 2020, Latvia's total researchers by sector of performance increased by 8.7% compared to 2019, reaching 8,394.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 21 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.2% (from 7,827 in 2015).
