Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2008, Lithuania's population change increased by 6.5% compared to 2007, reaching 9.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.6.

Lithuania ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.5% (from 8.8 in 2003).
