Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2023, Lithuania's population change decreased by 7.7% compared to 2022, reaching 7.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.2.

Lithuania ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.2% (from 9.5 in 2018).
