Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2014, Lithuania's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 4.6% compared to 2013, reaching 40.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.9%.

Lithuania ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 45.9% (from 27.9% in 2009).
