In 2016, Lithuania's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 15.5% compared to 2015, reaching 142.

Lithuania ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.9% (from 189 in 2011).
