Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1999, Lithuania's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 1998, reaching 66.3.

Lithuania ranks 24th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.1% (from 62.5 in 1994).
