Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1989, Lithuania's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 6.9% compared to 1988, reaching 98,253.

Lithuania ranks 17th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.3% (from 80,337 in 1984).
