In 2024, Lithuania's median of the housing cost burden distribution by degree of urbanisation increased by 4.5% compared to 2023, reaching 9.20.

Lithuania accounts for 60.1% of the EU-27 total of 15.3.

Lithuania ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.1% (from 9.40 in 2019).
