In 2021, Lithuania's persons participating in tourism for personal purposes increased by 13.2% compared to 2020, reaching 578,022.

Lithuania accounts for 0.4% of the EU-27 total of 152,946,667.

Lithuania ranks 22nd out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.5% (from 755,791 in 2016).
