In 2024, Lithuania's total researchers by sector of performance increased by 1.5% compared to 2023, reaching 10,682.

Lithuania ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.9% (from 9,630 in 2019).
