Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2014, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 2.2% compared to 2013, reaching 21.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.9%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 43.1% (from 15.3% in 2009).
