Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2012, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 19.8% compared to 2011, reaching 2.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 5.8%.

Luxembourg ranks 19th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.3% (from 2.2% in 2007).
