At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2011, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.4% compared to 2010, reaching 15.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Malta ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.1% (from 13.5% in 2006).
